Albino Piona – Corvina Campo Massimo DOC
✨ The ultimate expression of Corvina Veronese, vinified in purity from estate vineyards.
Introduction
Campo Massimo represents the purest and most authentic expression of Corvina Veronese, the native grape that defines the Verona area. Selected grapes from the estate’s own vineyards capture the full character of the morainic terroir.
Producer’s Advice
A medium-bodied wine, perfect with traditional Veronese first courses such as tagliatelle with livers or fettuccine with mushrooms. An excellent pairing with the iconic local dish: boiled meats with pearà.
Vinification
Careful harvesting, destemming, and pressing of the grapes. After a short maceration, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. Pumping over and délestage are performed to obtain a complex wine. It evolves in second-passage French oak barrels for at least 12 months, followed by a further 6 months of refinement in bottle.
