Barbera d’Alba Superiore “Amabilin” 2019 | Cascina Adelaide
A full and expressive Barbera from Diano d’Alba, intense and elegant with soft hints of vanilla and spices
The era when “Amabile” was the family house wine of the Drocco household is brought back to life in this Barbera d’Alba Superiore. Amabilin 100% Barbera reflects the sincerity of the terroir, the character of the winery, and the generosity of the grape variety, with a perfect balance of intensity and gentle elegance.
Origin & Grapes
The grapes are 100% Barbera, grown on southwest-facing slopes with Tortonian calcareous-clay soils. The vines are trained using the Guyot system, with an average density of 5,000 plants per hectare. Yields are strictly controlled at approximately 1 kg per vine through 30% cluster thinning, ensuring concentrated fruit of the highest quality.
