In the Vineyard
CruPerdu is crafted from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes of the same vintage. The 2019 harvest brought excellent quality, though in smaller quantity than average. The grapes achieved perfect ripeness, resulting in a vintage of remarkable refinement and elegance.
In the Cellar
After a gentle pressing that extracts only the free-run juice, fermentation takes place with cold techniques to preserve aromas and finesse. The Pinot Noir matures for about 8 months in temperature-controlled steel tanks, while the Chardonnay ferments in small oak barrels for the same period. The final cuvée evolves and refines on the lees for over 36 months, acquiring complexity and harmony.

Plus
The name CruPerdu (“Lost Vineyard”) recalls the summer of 1986, when our Chef de Cave Luigi Bersini discovered an abandoned vineyard hidden in the forest, reclaimed by nature over time. That rediscovered vineyard inspired this unique and elegant cuvée.
Pairings
An all-round Franciacorta, perfect throughout the meal. Pairs beautifully with Mediterranean cuisine: sea bass baked in salt or foil, pike salad, or red shrimp tartare.
