A stylish Amarone from the heart of Valpolicella
Amarone is one of Italy's most prestigious red wines. The grapes are carefully dried after harvest according to the traditional appassimento method, concentrating aromas, flavours and structure. The result is a wine of remarkable depth, complexity and velvety richness.
The Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Marchesa Margherita by Paladin demonstrates that Amarone is not only about power. This wine stands out for its elegance, refined structure and perfect balance between ripe fruit, spice and freshness.
Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Marchesa Margherita 2022 | Paladin
Full-bodied and powerful, yet always balanced. An Amarone with class and refinement.
Grapes: Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella
Type: Red Wine
Classification: Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG
Origin & Vineyard
The grapes come from the hills of Valpolicella in Veneto, one of Northern Italy's most renowned wine regions. Only the finest grapes are selected for this Amarone. After hand harvesting, they undergo a carefully controlled drying process, allowing water to evaporate and the flavours and aromas to become more concentrated.
Vinification & Ageing
After the drying process, the grapes undergo a long fermentation. The wine is then aged for approximately 33 months in a combination of partly new and used French oak barrels and large wooden casks (foudres). Before release, it spends additional time ageing in bottle, allowing the wine to gain further complexity, harmony and elegance.
