Òria | Fiano Sannio DOP – Selezione Oro

An elegant Fiano, caressed by the morning breeze of Solopaca.

About the wine

Òria is produced from 100% Fiano, grown on limestone-clay soils at altitudes between 150 and 350 m in the hills of Solopaca, at the foot of the Taburno-Camposauro Regional Park. Vines are 5–15 years old, with an average yield of 80 q.li/ha. Grapes are hand-harvested starting from mid-September.
Vinification includes cryomaceration under inert gas, fermentation for about 15 days in stainless steel, and ageing on fine lees until February. The wine is then filtered and bottled from March onwards.

Tasting notes

• Color: intense straw-yellow

• Nose: pear, hazelnut, broom flower, pineapple, almond, acacia honey, flint and smoky notes

• Palate: fresh and full, with distinct flavors of pear, linden blossom and roasted hazelnut

Food pairing

Ideal with structured fish dishes, white meats, or risottos with seafood or vegetables.

Curiosity

The name Òria comes from the Solopaca dialect and means “gentle morning breeze”. This breeze softly caresses the Fiano vineyards in the hills, dancing between white clouds and the blue sky.
