Contragrande is a ruby-red Sangiovese Superiore that combines strength with harmony. Its firm tannic structure is well-balanced by freshness, making it both reliable and expressive.
The bouquet reveals delicate notes of violets, while the palate is dry and full-bodied, with a persistent, slightly bitter finish. Contragrande is a wine of character, firmly rooted in the Romagna terroir.
Vinification & Aging
The grapes are harvested in the last week of September at full phenolic ripeness. Fermentation includes a 5–7 day maceration at 25°C, followed by racking and gentle transfers.
