Origin & Vineyard
The grapes come from about 7 hectares of our estate vineyards in Maretta, within the D.O.C. area of Ghemme. The soil is fluvio-alluvial clay with acidic character. Sustainable viticulture is practiced with minimal chemical input, and the vines are trained using the Guyot system.
Vinification & Ageing
The grapes are hand-picked in small crates. After gentle pressing, the must undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine then sees a short maturation in medium-sized French oak barrels from Allier, followed by 1 month of bottle ageing.
