Sangiovese | Rubicone IGP 2025 | Branchini 1858

Warm, fruity and full of Italian character – a Sangiovese made to be shared around the table.

Description

Sangiovese is the soul of Romagna. A grape variety that perfectly reflects the warmth, hospitality and vibrant food culture of this beautiful region. This Sangiovese Rubicone IGP is an inviting red wine that beautifully balances freshness, ripe fruit and soft tannins. Approachable, versatile and, above all, made to be enjoyed with good food and good company.

In the glass it displays a bright ruby-red colour. The bouquet opens with aromas of violets, cherries, raspberries, blueberries and delicate Mediterranean herbs. On the palate it is juicy and harmonious, with refined tannins and a fresh, elegant finish that invites another sip.

Vinification & Ageing

The grapes are typically harvested during the last week of September, once they have reached optimal ripeness. After harvest, the grapes undergo a maceration of 7 to 10 days at a controlled temperature of approximately 25°C (77°F), allowing colour, aromas and structure to develop gently.

Following fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately six months in stainless steel tanks. This preserves its vibrant fruit expression and elegant character without the influence of oak.
